Through the Looking Glass

Pace Print and Design, Worcester have been working with local schools and colleges over the past 20 years to produce high quality prospectuses and folders, flyers for Open Days and Parents Evenings, and ensure that the printed materials reflect the school’s image within the local community.

We will be exhibiting at a conference for schools within the West Midlands region on 18th May. This is the second year for the WM School Led Annual Conference and this year will be focussing on the latest developments and proposals all schools are now faced with following on from the Government’s decision to move to academise all schools by 2020.

  • What does this actually means for schools?
  • Will schools lose their own identity?
  • Will our children benefit from attending and academy school or will their education suffer?
  • Is this just a way for schools to make money? What improvements can be realised through the academy system?

We are proud to be one of the main sponsors for this year’s event, working with local event organiser Opening Doors and Venues and a number of Teaching School Alliances at the West Midlands School Leaders Conference 2016. SIgn up now and come and talk to our experts about how we can help you to save you time and money with our in-house design studio, printing solutions and direct mail solutions.

Stamp prices to rise by 1p from end of March

The price of sending a letter will rise by 1p on 29 March.

The cost of a first class stamp will go up to 64p, while the cost of second class will rise to 55p.

The Royal Mail said it had carefully considered the impact on customers, before deciding to apply the “smallest possible increase”.

It said the rise was necessary to help ensure the sustainability of the universal service – the ability to deliver all over the UK for one price.

It added that its prices were amongst the best value in Europe.

Full details of the price changes can be found here.

Mailing Costs Increase

Mail World – and our latest incident bulletin.

If I can remind you all that we have just passed a price change marker of 1st January and that it does not necessarily mean higher prices! We have just negotiated some interesting new rates with a change of format and distribution pattern by the majority (but not always the Major!!) European postal businesses.

Royal Mail will again be totally out of step with the World as they have changed the DSA rates from 1st January but the Retail products will change in the near future. For magazines we know we can be better priced in most cases than a RM Press product but we always need to check the data as the sort plans are different for DSA.  DSA still gives a fantastic benefit and improved processing over the “retail” RM products.

On our Overseas offers we have some reductions to filter in to rates and will be giving you the benefit on all future mailings.

Our Unsorted UK rates are also worth looking at – so please remember to ask to discuss your needs.

Happy New Year
